La Conner Kiwanis’ 9th Annual Apple Cup Challenge Scholarship Fund is gearing up for Fall 2014. This is a yearly competition that challenges University of Washington and Washington State University fans to donate the most money by kick-off at the Apple Cup game which will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014.
We are striving to make this a banner year for at least one scholarship if not two or three by raising the most money that we have ever raised.
Whichever side succeeds gets to fly the mascot flag for one month on the La Conner High School flag pole and the scholarship will be given to a deserving graduating senior who will be attending the winning university.
ALL donated dollars go directly to fund the scholarship and help a student in the La Conner community.
And the Winners Are…..
Of course everyone who came out to eat chowder was a winner–such a yummy event. But it was a competition after all so here are the bragging rights.
